Dashboard Overview
When you first log in, you’ll land on your Home Dashboard. Here, you’ll typically see:
- Summary alerts (e.g., “No active physician order on file,” “No active plan of care on file”)
- Support messages
- Birthdays this week
- Teammate settings needing attention
- Authorizations needing attention
- Documentation needing attention
- Events missing documentation or Events missing attendance
Each alert or item can usually be clicked to view more details or marked as “Complete” or “Silence” once addressed.
Authorizations Needing Attention
In the “Authorizations needing attention” box, you will see patients whose authorizations are:
- Expiring within the next two months and do not yet have a replacement authorization on file.
- Have 10 or fewer remaining visits for non‐discharged patients on your caseload.
If you do not manage a caseload, you’ll still see patients in your organization to whom you have access (excluding test accounts). These thresholds (e.g., two‐month timeframe, 10‐visit limit) can be configured in your organization’s EMR settings. Manual exclusions do not appear here.
See our FAQ on How to Configure Your Home Dashboard Authorization Settings.

Alerts
“Alerts” highlight important status updates or items requiring your attention. You’ll see them for:
- Cases where you are the subject (e.g., a missing credential in your profile).
- Cases where the patient is on your caseload (or, if you have no caseload, any patient in your organization you can view) with an action item.
Alerts might remind you of:
- An upcoming evaluation expiry date.
- A plan of care that needs renewal.
- Any other time‐sensitive or compliance‐related task.
Birthdays This Week
A friendly feature showing birthdays for:
- Teammates at your organization.
- Patients on your caseload (or, if you have no caseload, patients you can view).
- Excludes any test accounts.
Teammate Settings Needing Attention
This section calls out:
- Expiring settings or credentials for teammates (e.g., licenses, certifications, or supervisor credentials).
- Ensuring colleagues’ profiles remain up to date and compliant.
Documentation Needing Attention
Here, you’ll see clinical documents (assessments, evaluations, plans of care, visit notes, discharges, amendments, etc.) that:
- You authored, for non‐test patients.
- Are missing billing details, a signature, or both.
Events Missing Documentation
If you have events (appointments) that occurred within the past two weeks for non-test patients and they are marked as “Present” but lack an associated visit note or other required documentation (e.g., evaluations or discharge paperwork), they will appear here.
Events Missing Attendance
Similar to “Events Missing Documentation,” this section flags events that:
- Occurred in the past two weeks (for patients in your caseload or any patient you can view).
- Are missing attendance records, signifying that “Present” or “Absent” was never properly marked.
Support Messages & Additional Info
You may see a “Support Messages” area with:
- Recent messages from Ambiki’s Support or your organization’s support team.
- Quick previews of the messages, with a priority indicator (e.g., Low, High).
Tip: If you receive new messages or have an ongoing support conversation, use this to stay up to date on any troubleshooting or guidance from Ambiki.
Helpful Tips for Daily Use
- Check the dashboard daily: Many items are time‐sensitive (e.g., expiring authorizations, overdue notes).
2. Complete vs. Silence:
- Complete means you’ve taken action on the item (e.g., updated the document, renewed a credential).
- Silence temporarily removes the alert without marking it as finished—ideal for if you’re aware of the alert but can’t address it right now.
3. Review upcoming expiring items: If you see multiple authorizations expiring soon, prioritize them to avoid disruptions in patient care.
4. Stay in sync with teammates: For items like “Teammate settings needing attention,” coordinate promptly so compliance doesn’t lapse.
