"Is there a way to have resources I have uploaded searched easily and not have to search the entire database?"

Yes, there is.

1. You can do so from the Resources Overview page (https://ambiki.com/resources). 

2. You select the 'filter' button and check the check box to 'Show only my resources.'

This will allow you to search all Resources you have uploaded -- whether they are public or private.
