Summary by Persona (Grouped by Role)
👩⚕️ Clinicians / Therapists
- Therapists will see more accurate discharge goals, service log documents and signatures, better control over which goals appear on documents, and fixes for facility rates, card setup, and early intervention billing workflows.
🧑💼 Admins
- Admins will benefit from faster ERA retrieval, more reliable service logs and facility billing, corrected notification behavior, improved payment setup, and fixes for Attorney-in-Fact signing.
💳 Billers / Guardians
-
Billers: ERA files are now checked hourly, early intervention invoices can be created after coverage ends, and facility billing and payment setup are more reliable.
-
Guardians/Patients: No direct changes.
🚀 New Feature - ERA Files Are Checked Every Hour
👥 Audience: Billing admins
🛠️ Steps to Access: None. Applies automatically to every practice with ERA retrieval enabled.
📢 What's new?: Ambiki now checks your clearinghouse for new electronic remittance (ERA) files every hour throughout the day, instead of a few times a day. Payments may post more often and show up sooner after your payer sends them.
🛠️ Fix - Support Message Notification Settings Are Followed Correctly
👥 Audience: All users
📅 Date range affected: July 2023 – present
❗ Issue: We fixed an issue where you could still receive emails about new comments on your support and feedback messages after choosing in-app notifications only.
✅ Action Steps: None. Your notification settings are now followed. You can review them any time under Profile → Notification settings.
📢 Also: with email notifications on for support messages, you may now also receive an email when a support message is opened on your behalf or assigned — these follow the same setting, so switching Email off there stops all of them.
🛠️ Fix - Service Log Signatures Appear on Downloaded and Shared Documents
👥 Audience: Therapists and Admins at practices using service logs
📅 Date range affected: Visit notes and evaluations signed since service logs were introduced (December 2025)
❗ Issue: When a service log signature was added to a visit note or evaluation after it had already been signed, a copy of that document downloaded, bundled into a packet, faxed, or included in a backup could be missing that signature, so it did not match what the document's own page showed.
✅ Action Steps: None. New copies are correct from this update onward. Documents already saved are left exactly as they are, and a copy taken from one of them now includes the missing signature.
🛠️ Fix - Discharges Show the Correct Current Goals
👥 Audience: Therapists
❗ Issue: When creating a discharge, goals that were already met or stopped were listed as active. This has been corrected so only current goals can be scored, while met and stopped goals are shown for reference.
✅ Action Steps: If you have a discharge you started but have not signed yet, and it lists goals you did not expect, please delete that draft and start a new one. The new draft will list the correct goals.
🚀 New Feature - Example Patient Added to New Trial Practices
👥 Audience: New trial practices
🛠️ Steps to Access: Nothing to set up. New trial practices automatically get the example patient; look for "Zoe Zoo (Ambiki Fake Test Patient)" on the Patients page and the blue "Sample data" banner on the dashboard.
📢 What's new?: Every new trial now starts with one example patient, Zoe Zoo, who comes with a realistic therapy history — plans of care, goals with progress, evaluations, session notes, and an upcoming appointment — so you can explore Ambiki with real-looking data from your first minute. She is clearly labelled as an example and never counts in your reports.
🛠️ Fix - Facility Service Rates Save Normally Without Existing Rates
👥 Audience: Therapists and Admins who manage facility service rates
📅 Date range affected: Until this fix is deployed, for facilities that had no service rates set up yet
❗ Issue: We fixed an issue where saving a facility's service rates would not go through if the facility did not have any rates added yet.
✅ Action Steps: None. Saving works normally now, whether or not the facility has rates.
🛠️ Fix - Unchecking All Goals Hides Them from the Document
👥 Audience: Therapists
❗ Issue: When choosing which goals to display on a document, unchecking every goal did not hide them. All goals still appeared.
✅ Action Steps: None. If you previously unchecked every goal on a document, that document will now correctly show no goals. To bring goals back, open Customize Goals Shown and either check the goals you want or use Reset to defaults.
🛠️ Fix - Card and Billing Setup Works with Incomplete Saved Emails
👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins, Front desk staff
📅 Date range affected: Long standing
❗ Issue: Adding a card for a patient, or setting up billing for a practice, could fail with an error if the saved email address was incomplete (missing the part after the dot, like .com).
✅ Action Steps: None. Cards and billing now save normally. If an email was incomplete when the customer was first set up, payment receipts will not be sent for now. A follow up change will let a corrected email start those receipts again.
🛠️ Fix - Service Log Entries Reconnect to Existing Documents and Signatures
👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins
📅 Date range affected: Since service logs were released in December 2025
❗ Issue: An evaluation written before its session was marked attended did not show up on that session's service log entry, so the entry kept asking for a document that was already there. Service logs whose clinical document or signature had since been removed also would not open.
✅ Action Steps: None. Affected entries are reconnected for you. A session that is still missing its document or signature now shows as "Not available" on the service log so you can spot it.
🛠️ Fix - Attorney-in-Fact Documents Can Be Signed Normally
👥 Audience: Practice admins
❗ Issue: Some practices saw an error page when signing the Attorney-in-Fact document, and could not complete it on later attempts.
✅ Action Steps: None. Practices that were unable to sign can now sign as normal.
🛠️ Fix - Early Intervention Invoices Can Be Created After Coverage Ends
👥 Audience: Billing staff, Admins
📅 Date range affected: Any invoice for a payer whose coverage period has ended
❗ Issue: We fixed an issue that prevented creating an invoice for an early intervention payer when the coverage period had ended.
✅ Action Steps: None. You can now generate and edit these invoices from the treatment report as usual.
