Private Vs. Public

Private Vs. Public image
On Ambiki, data that you create or access (i.e. goals, word lists, resources, etc.) falls into two buckets.

Private
When you create something in Ambiki (i.e. goals, word lists, resources, etc.) it will, by default, be private. This means that it is only visible to you and other users on the site can not view or access it.

Public
It is possible to make items you created (i.e. goals, word lists, resources, etc.) public. In order for something to become public it first needs to go through an approval process by an Ambiki moderator. Depending on the item being approved, the moderator may be looking for different criteria (i.e. spelling, grammar, appropriateness, etc.). Once approved, other users will be able to search for, view, and make use of that item.

To submit a private item for approval into the public bank, go to that item's page and, as the creator of the item, you should see a button that says "make public".

Ambiki Profiles
Your profile in Ambiki is by default private.  To allow patients & others to find your profile, set your profile to "public."
