We are thrilled to announce updates to our Custom Form system, aimed at preventing the use of incompatible controls and ensuring data integrity. With this release, we have enhanced the system to dynamically handle changes in document types, provide better control validation, and offer relevant options based on the form type selected:
- The Custom Form system now includes compatibility validation to prevent the use of controls on document types that cannot correctly save the associated data. When changing a custom form to a different document type with incompatible controls, these controls will no longer render on output, preventing potential data inconsistencies and errors. In the editor, they will be visually flagged with yellow/red striping and a message suggesting their removal.
- To ensure accurate and meaningful data collection, the system now prevents the selection of "default" or "system" as document types in cases where it does not make sense. This restriction eliminates potential confusion and supports the selection of appropriate document types for reliable data capture.
- The options presented in the main form modal(pop-up) have been updated to dynamically change based on the selected form type. This enhancement offers more relevant and contextual options, streamlining the form creation process and improving the user experience.
Thank you for choosing Ambiki. We are committed to providing an intuitive and reliable Custom Form system, and we value your feedback. We look forward to bringing you more exciting updates in the future.
