How to add or edit a diagnosis code 

 
To add or edit a diagnosis code for a patient, ensure you are signed in to Ambiki and on the main dashboard: 
  
  1. On the left navigation, click on ‘Patients’.

2. Choose the patient that you would like to add/edit a diagnosis code for by clicking on their name

3. Click on ‘Actions’ in the top right-hand corner and select ‘Edit’.

4. Under ‘Disciplines and diagnosis codes’, choose a discipline and click on the button labeled ‘Manage diagnosis codes’.

5. Click on ‘Add a diagnosis code’ and set the diagnosis code as well as the type. Click on ‘Done’ once finished.

6. Click on the ‘Save patient’ button to save your changes.

**Your ability to add or update diagnosis codes from the patient profile after an initial evaluation is signed may be disabled based on your Organization's EMR settings. To change this setting:

  1. Go to the Organization menu on the top left and select 'Edit organization'.

2. Click on 'EMR settings' and in the 'General' section, look for the option that says 'After an initial evaluation, any future ICD-10 diagnosis code changes can only come from a re-evaluation'.

3. If this option above is checked, it will disable the ability to add/update diagnosis codes from the patient profile after the initial evaluation is signed. Uncheck and save the setting if you want to remove this restriction.
