Why am I having difficulty using the 'Screen Share' feature in my Teletherapy session? 
 
As a therapist, I tried sharing my screen in Chrome using the ‘Window’ option. Nothing appeared on the screen after I made my selection and there were no errors in the console.
 
Mac OS and Windows-Based OS:

  1. Browser & Operating System information:

         a)  Google Chrome works best to ensure teletherapy runs smoothly and screensharing is supported. Though Firefox, Safari and Edge are currently supported and can be used to run Teletherapy, you may be unable to use the screen share feature. Internet Explorer is not supported.
  
           b)  Operating system requirements: Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS and Android.

2.  Check that your Chrome browser is up to date. https://www.whatismybrowser.com/  
 
Mac OS: 
  1. Check the security permissions on your computer. The new Mac software update (due to Big Sur) turned off the screen recording permissions. 
 
2.  Add Chrome to the whitelist and then completely close Chrome and reopen it for the changes in those security preferences to take effect. 
 
3.  Check your System Preferences (the app looks like a gear on Mac). 

          a)  Find Security & Privacy. 
 
          b)  Scroll down to Screen Recording, then click on it. 
 
          c)  Check that Chrome has Screen Recording checked on the Privacy Tab. 
 
          d)  Also, click the lock & enter your device login password to change the settings. 
 
          e)  Check the box next to Chrome to enable screen recording. 
 
          f)  Restart Chrome, if needed.

 When that is not working: 
  1.  Refresh the session webpage, have client refresh the webpage, wait at least ten seconds. 
 
2.  Uncover the microphone and camera. 
 
3.  Try opening the link in a different web browser. 
 
4.  Reboot the machine. 
 
5.  Exit and reopen link to session, have the client do the same. 
 
6.  Switch devices, from phone to tablet to laptop. 
 
7.  Update software.
