What is the Teletherapy Front Desk? 
The Teletherapy Front Desk is a place for you to view what teletherapy appointments you have for the day, view which patients are online on Ambiki, take attendance, chat with online patients, write a quick note, and access the teletherapy room link for manual sending if needed.

Do I need to take attendance?
Since Ambiki is not integrated with an EMR, you do not need to take attendance for the session to run properly, however it is recommended you take attendance for your own records. 

Why would I need to manually send a patient room link?
If the patient is having trouble accessing the room from the confirmation/appointment reminder email, you can also manually copy and paste a direct link to the room and send it to them. However, it is recommended that patients access teletherapy from the teletherapy appointment emails. 

How do I know if patients are online?
If a patient is online, there will be a green circle next to their name. If they are not online, the circle will be grey. A patient is considered online if they are on Ambiki.com waiting to enter the teletherapy room from the equipment check page.

Why might I need to chat a patient?
Some reasons why a therapist may use the Front Desk chat could be to help troubleshoot technical issues, let a patient know you are running late from a previous session, checking to see if they are ready to go, chatting with parents before the session starts, and more. 

Can I chat with a patient while I am in another session?
Yes! Select ‘Minimize Window’ from the top left hand corner of the teletherapy room. This will slide your current session off the screen and bring you to the front desk, without actually removing you from your current session. Don't worry, patients in the current session cannot see that you have moved the session off screen from their view. 

Is the " + Note" where I write my session note?
No, this feature is meant for a quick note before/after the session. This note will be accessible with your session notes after the call in the "Call Details". For more information on accessing "Call Details" visit the call details FAQ: How To View Call Details and Session Notes from Teletherapy
