How to Ensure Patient Portal Emails Are Sent to Legal Guardians

To receive patient portal emails as a legal guardian, ensure the legal guardian is added with their email address in the patient's profile under the Contact Info section. Additionally, make sure the legal guardian's email is also listed in the email field of the same section.
To add a legal guardian to the patient profile, ensure you are logged in to Ambiki and on the main dashboard:

- Click on 'Patients' in the left navigation.
2. Select the patient you would like to add a legal guardian to by clicking on their name.
3. Click on Actions in the top right-hand corner and select Edit.
4. Click on Contact Info on the left side.
5. Click on the button labelled 'Add Legal Guardian'. Input your legal guardian details, make sure to include an email.
6. Please also add the parent/legal guardian's email. Click on the button labelled 'Add Email' and add the legal guardian's email address.
7. Click on Save Patient at the bottom of the page.
8. Return to the patient's profile, and select Patient Portal in the top tabs.
9. You should see the legal guardian listed if you followed the steps listed above. Click on Send Invite to send a patient portal invite to the legal guardian. If needed, you can also resend invites from this area as well. This will also let you know their access status and activity.
Please note, if the patient is under 18, the patient portal will be accessed through the legal guardian's email. If the patient is over 18, add their email address to their profile.
To add additional patients under the same legal guardian email, follow the steps to add a legal guardian, and select the legal guardian from the drop-down menu. Also, ensure the legal guardian's email address is in the email field in each patient profile.
