Who Gets Patient Portal Emails?

To receive patient portal emails, emails must be listed as 'Legal Guardians' 

  1. To add a legal guardian, go to the patient's profile, hit Actions -> Edit 
  2. Go to the Contact Info section
  3. Click on Add Legal Guardian
  4. Add a legal guardian, make sure to include an email! 
  5. Hit Save at the bottom of the page
  6. Return to the patient's profile, and select Patient Portal 
  7. You should see the legal guardian listed. Click on Invite

If needed, you can also resend invites from this area as well. This will also let you know their access status and activity. 

Please note, if the patient is under the age of 18 the patient portal will be accessed through the legal guardian's email. If the patient is over 18, please add their email address by clicking the 'Add email' button below.
