Executive Function
(Occupational Therapy) Executive function is a broad term used to describe complex cognitive processes which are used to think, make decisions, plan, and control behavior. Occupational therapists address executive functioning skills in order to help individuals participate in daily activities with as much independence and success as attainable.
(Speech Therapy) Referring to the group of mental skills used daily including planning, thinking, self-regulation/self-control, working memory, self-monitoring, time management, and organization.
