26 pages of color matching and category items. Color targets: blue, green, purple, red, orange, pink, black, white, and brown. Category targets: animals, vehicles, clothing, toys, foods, vegetables, fruits, animals that can fly, pets, things that are soft/hard, shapes (things that are round), vehicles with two wheels, vehicles with four wheels, and more.

Strategies and techniques

Suggestions for use: 
-Color matching. Place items of the same color in the color matching box. (Or place a sheet of the same colored paper on the table and have student place matching items on the colored sheet of paper.) 
-Identify colors. Ask student to find something blue/yellow/green/etc. 
-Label colors. Ask student to label the color as you show the items. 
-Category matching. Place items of the same category together. 
-Identify categories. Ask student to find something with two wheels/an animal/a food that is purple. 
-Label categories. Ask student to label the category as you show the items. 
HIGHER LEVEL THINKING 
-Are there items that can be placed in more than one category? Why? 
-Are there items that can be placed with more than one color? Explain. 
-Compare and Contrast two items of the same color. 
-Compare and Contrast two items from the same category. 
-Generate a list of other items that may fit in the same category. 
-Generate a list of other items that are the same color.
