About

Teodora Gajic Bakic, MOT, OTR/L, Temple University alumna is a Licensed and Registered Occupational therapist with more than 10 years of experience working with children with learning difficulties and special needs. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Rehabilitation from the University of Belgrade, Serbia in 2000.  Teodora has been working as a Licensed Occupational Therapist in a variety of settings: special schools, cyber schools, and at clients' homes.  She has experience in working closely with her clients and their families to overcome and adapt to challenges related to diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, learning difficulties, and anxiety disorder.  She particularly focuses her work on educating parents and caregivers on how to support treatment of the child in need, while maintaining the family dynamic and a balance between being a parent and also a therapist's assistant. As an early intervention OT, Teodora also worked with children in public housing projects and lower-income families, to make a change and support poor communities in Philadelphia. In 2018, Teodora became interested in ways technology can help deliver high-quality service and support to remotely located clients and their families, so she finished Web Development 100 Course, The New York Code+Design Academy, Philadelphia, PA, in 2018.  Teodora joined Ambiki in March 2022 as a Clinical Support Analyst to work on the further development of Therapy Tools such as session planning; resources, activity lists, games, visual schedules, etc.  What brought her to Ambiki was its mission to support therapists to spend more quality time with their clients and less time on their paperwork using features such as EMR: diagnostic codes, evaluation, invoicing, audits, HIPAA complied teletherapy, resources, communication, supervision, etc.  She believes Ambiki will bring much-needed change to make therapists' work more efficient and less time-consuming outside of their paid hours. Besides work, she enjoys hiking, choir singing, cooking, and everyday activities with her family.
