How to add a payment method for patient responsibility
To add a payment method for a patient, ensure you are signed in to Ambiki and on the main dashboard:
- On the left navigation, click on ‘Patients’.
2. Choose the patient that you’d like to add a payment method for by clicking on their name.
3. Select ‘Payments’ from the top tab.
4. Under the Payment methods section, click on ‘Edit’.
5. Click on ‘Add a new payment method’.
6. Alternatively, you can also add a payment method by navigating to the patient profile (see step 1 and 2 above).
- Once in the patient profile, click on 'Actions' and select 'Edit'.
- Click on 'Payment methods' and follow steps 4 and 5 above.
- Click on the button labelled 'Add new' on the top right-hand corner.
7. You have the flexibility to include a credit card as your payment method or designate an insurance company as the payment source, depending on whether you choose the patient or an insurance company as the billable party.
8. To add a credit card as a payment method, select the patient as the billable party. Click on the button labeled ‘Add credit card (through stripe)’ and input your credit card details. Click on ‘Add card’ to save the details.
9. To add an insurance company as the payment method, select an insurance company as the billable party.
10. Fill in the rest of the details in the form and click ‘Save patient’ to save your details.
