Alphabet Spring/Easter Match Mat
Description
An alphabet match mat with 26 vocabulary words, 1 alphabet board. 2 sets of vocabulary cards with visual support of words and without. Bonus sentence strips.
Strategies and techniques
Suggestions for Use:
-- Print alphabet words and practice vocabulary words.
-- Practice initial letter and sound ID (can’t be done for X)
-- Work on matching 1:1 for lower level learners while still exposing vocabulary items and sounds
-- Use pictures for following directions activities: put the ice cream on top of the I, etc.
-- Use sentence strips to identify vocabulary items and expand utterances.
-- Cut out alphabet cards and place in themed sensory bins.
