Seasons Category Sort
Description
A category sorting activity with 16 pictures per season, giant season boards, additional worksheets, sentence strips and season-themed vocabulary words to cut out.
Strategies and techniques
Print and use in therapy.
Suggestions for Use:
--Cut out little vocabulary cards/words and sort onto giant seasonal cards.
--Place in sensory bins/scavenger hunts around the room.
--Use small vocabulary cards with sentence strips at the end to work on pronouns, present progressive verbs and reading simple sentences.
--Use word vocabulary cards to create sentences.
--Work on asking wh- questions. Which of these is hot? What do we wear on our head?
--Receptive identification of vocabulary using descriptive words during sorting tasks in a field of 3 or more: this is something you wear on your feet in the water, this is a warm drink with marshmallows, etc.
